Preparing Edifyle
Private • Local • Fast
At Edifyle, we don't just promise privacy—we enforce it through our technical architecture.
Edifyle is built on a 'Privacy by Design' framework. Unlike traditional cloud converters, we do not have a backend server that receives your files. All conversion logic is shipped to your browser and executed locally in your device's RAM.
Because your files remain in your local browser sandbox, it is physically impossible for us to monitor, view, or analyze the content of your documents. Your trade secrets, private data, and personal records remain 100% private.
We do not store your files because we never receive them. Once you close your browser tab, the temporary memory (RAM) used for the conversion is purged by your operating system. There are no backups, no logs, and no traces on our infrastructure.
We use basic, privacy-compliant analytics (Microsoft Clarity & Google Analytics) solely to understand site performance and tool usage. These tools are configured to anonymize IP addresses and never capture sensitive file metadata or content.
Edifyle provides a sophisticated suite of professional utility tools that operate with absolute transparency and technical integrity. Traditional online platforms often serve as conduits for data ingestion, whereas Edifyle acts as a purely static deployment of conversion logic. All document processing occurs via client-side JavaScript and high-performance WebAssembly modules that are sandboxed within the strict security protocols of your local browser environment.
Unlike legacy converters that require you to transmit your data to their remote infrastructure, Edifyle ensures that you maintain 100% sovereignty over your documents. When you initialize a processing task—such as merging a PDF or converting a high-resolution image—your browser creates a transient local reference to the file. The visual 'Upload' action on our interface is a symbolic trigger that initializes a local processing stream, ensuring that your raw data remains encrypted by the very nature of its lack of transit.
By eliminating the server-side conversion step, we also eliminate the risk of Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks and server-level data breaches that plague traditional PDF suites. We leverage modern browser sandboxing—an industry-standard security measure—to ensure that the processing environment is entirely isolated and incapable of interacting with your local file system beyond the specific files you have explicitly granted access to.
We have architected our platform to be entirely stateless regarding your file content. While we may use localStorage to store minor UI preferences—such as your preferred theme or navigation history—we do not utilize IndexedDB or any other persistent storage mechanisms for your document data. Every byte of processed information is stored only in volatile RAM (Random Access Memory), which is automatically purged by your operating system's garbage collector once the browser tab is closed.
